DriftTable Privacy Policy
This policy explains the information DriftTable currently handles and how it is used across accounts, teams, venues, check-ins, scores, and rewards.
Information you provide
- Account information such as email address, display name, and password credentials stored as a secure hash.
- Team information such as team name, membership, role, and invite code.
- Venue information such as venue name, city, state, schedule, timezone, and staff access.
- Trivia information such as answers, scores, team identity, event identity, and score adjustments.
- Check-in information connecting a signed-in player to a venue and event at a recorded time.
- Contact information you choose to send by email or text when asking about DriftTable.
Information collected through use
Account sessions may record a session identifier, timestamps, IP address, and browser user-agent information for authentication and security. DriftTable also records event activity needed to connect scores, teams, venue verification, participant counts, and reward transactions.
How the information is used
- Authenticate accounts and keep sessions active.
- Create and manage teams, venue access, and weekly event participation.
- Verify venue attendance and connect eligible participants to a team score.
- Publish team or account score identities and participation counts on public leaderboards.
- Maintain Drift Coin balances and an auditable reward transaction history.
- Operate, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the service.
- Respond to venue and support requests.
What is public
Public scoreboards may show a team name or account display name, score, event information, venue name, score mode, verification status, and participant count. Individual participant names, email addresses, passwords, session tokens, check-in codes, and private venue controls are not intended for the public board.
Cookies and local storage
DriftTable uses an HTTP-only session cookie to keep signed-in users authenticated. Some play pages may use browser local storage to preserve answers or progress on that device. Clearing browser data can remove locally saved progress.
Third-party services
DriftTable may use hosting providers, YouTube video embeds, email applications, and text-message applications. Those services may process browser, device, or contact information under their own policies. The Get Started form currently prepares an email or text draft on the user's device and does not silently submit the form to a DriftTable lead database.
Data sharing and sale
DriftTable does not sell personal information. Information may be shared with service providers needed to operate the site, when a user asks DriftTable to do so, to protect the service or its users, or when legally required.
Retention, correction, and deletion
Information is retained while it supports an active account, team, venue, score history, security record, or reward ledger. You may contact DriftTable to request access, correction, or deletion. Some records may need to remain where deletion would break score integrity, financial records, security, fraud prevention, backups, or legal obligations.
Children
DriftTable is not designed to collect personal information directly from children under 13. Parents, guardians, libraries, schools, and venues should supervise younger participants and avoid creating an account for a child without the consent required in their location.
Security and policy changes
DriftTable uses authentication, hashed credentials, protected administrative routes, and access controls, but no internet service can promise absolute security. This policy may change as the product changes. The updated date on this page will be revised when material changes are published.
